« Challenge One » is TELNET Group’s ambitious project to design and develop the first Tunisian satellite in the new field « Space for IoT ».
The satellite « Challenge One » serve as a LoRa gateway placed in orbit. It is thus capable of receiving data sent by the ground terminals and then returning them to a ground station for processing. Note that LoRa is a communication protocol designed to allow an object to exchange data of small size at low speed, which makes it possible to reduce its energy consumption and thus allow it a high autonomy.
The launch of the first Tunisian satellite « Challenge One » by the Russian rocket Soyuz-2 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan took place in March 22, 2021 at 7:07 am.
With a view to diversifying its markets, the TELNET Group embarked on the drone manufacturing project in 2018 and unveiled in June 2020 its first PHOENIX drone designed and manufactured by its 100% Tunisian skills.
This drone is equipped with an automatic flight system, a remote control system and an anti-collision system, the drone will be able to perform versatile missions in the field of agriculture, rescue and search operations as well as delivery of items to hard-to-reach areas.
The TELNET Group attaches great importance to Corporate Social Responsibility “CSR”. Out of conviction of his duty, he has set up a set of practices in order to respect the challenges and objectives of sustainable development and with a positive impact on society.
In this sense, the TELNET Group organizes many activities and makes a significant contribution such as sponsoring the activities of university student clubs working in the field of technology and innovation.
