History

 

-       1995: TELNET got its first contract with an international group. This would be its main vector of development.

-       Since 1997: TELNET has specialized in offshore development to the profit of large international groups.

-       1998: TELNET was certified ISO 9001. Since 2002, TELNET has adopted the referential ISO 9001 version 2000 for its quality management system.

-       2000: Telnet staff first exceeded 50 engineers.

-       2001: TELNET received the innovation prize from the Tunisian-French room of trade and industry (CTFCI).

-       2002: TELNET moved into its own offices located in the North Urban Centre in Tunis.

-       2004: TELNET headcount exceeded 100 engineers.

-       2004: launching of the certification CMMi level 5 process.

-       2004: opening of the first TELNET subsidiary in France: TELNET consulting.

-       2004: TELNET celebrated its tenth birthday.

-       2006: Telnet was certified for level 5 according to the CMMi model.

-       April 2007: TELNET was made up of five companies:  TELNET Technologies, TELNET Inc, TELNET Consulting, DATABOX and PLM Systems. - January 2008: TELNET headcount exceeded 320 employees of which 280 were engineers.

-       January 2008: TELNET workforce has 320 people including over 280 engineers

-       April 2008: Creation of the Joint Venture "Telnet Altran Corporation” in association with the group Altran

-       July 2008: Holding the first general meeting and the first board of directors of the new company “Altran Telnet Corporation” (ATC)

-       July 2009: TELNET obtains the certification ISO 9001, version 2008

-       August 2009: TELNET Group moves to its new site THE TELNET TECHNOCENTRE in les berges du lac in Tunis.

-       Junuary 2011: TELNET workforce has 500 people including over 420 engineers

-       April 2011 Introduction of Telnet Holding on the Tunis Stock Exchange

-       July 2011 Internationally expansion of Telnet by opening three branches respectively Telnet GmbH in Munich, Germany Münchner in the Zentrum Technology; Texas, United States in the Technology Park of Houston and Dubai, UAE in « Dubai Internet City ».

-       September 2011 Telnet staff has about 550 employees including over 500 engineers .

-       Q4, 2011 Launching the project "MINIATEC of TELNET" in El Gazala Technolgy Park

 

 

Partnership

 

-       April 2008: On the occasion of the visit of President Nicolas Sarkozy in Tunis, signed a letter of intent for the creation of a joint company "Telnet Altran Corporation", by Mr. Yves DE CHAISEMARTIN, CEO of Altran and Mr. Mohamed FRIKHA, Managing Director of TELNET Group, attended by the Tunisian Minister of Technologies of Communication, Mr. El Hadj Gley. This company is based in Tunis and will have an operational entity in Sfax. It will focus on the provision of engineering services.

 

-       November 2008: Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Group TELNET and U.S. OEM PATTON Electronics on a partnership agreement to jointly develop products related to the fields of VDSL2 Broadband access technologies and multi-media and multi-service receptors technologies of digital terrestrial television.

 

-       February 2009: Signing in Tunis an agreement on industrial cooperation between the Group TELNET and SAFRAN in the fields of aeronautics, security and smart cards.

 

-       June 2009: Signing of a framework agreement between Telnet and Dassault Systèmes “PLM for the digital economy in Tunisia”.

 

-       May 2010 Signing a partnership agreement between respectively Telnet, Rice University (Texas), the National School of Engineers of Sfax (ENIS), for the establishment of the "Robotics Masters" project.

 

-       August 2010: Signing of a collaboration agreement between the Atomic Energy Commission and Alternative Energy (CEA) and TELNET to create a common platform for the research and development “LINKLAB”

 

-       February 2011 Signed a letter of intent between Telnet and Lacroix Electronics Holding for the establishment of a common structure of product engineering. This alliance will allow both companies to focus on their expertise and their skill areas and to propose, and for their respective clients, a complete product engineering offer based on the design, development and validation of prototypes and the manufacture of the complete product through Lacroix Electronique units worldwide.

 

Lobbying

 

-       December 2008 : In collaboration with its technology partners Altran and Dassault Systèmes, the Group TELNET inaugurated the "Altran Innovation Labs" and "Learning and PLM Innovation Center” in the technology park of the city of Sfax.

 

-       March 2009: TELNET adheres to the Arab for Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO).

 

-       April 2009: TELNET Consulting, a Front office subsidiary of the group TELNET joins the french global cluster "SYSTEM@TIC Paris-Région".

 

-       December 2009 : TELNET adheres to the ITU-T "the International Telecommunication Union" as an associate member in the area of standardization.

 

-       April 2010 : TELNET becomes a member of the IEEE “Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers”.

 

-       Junuary 2011 : Telnet is elected member of SYSTEM@TIC Paris-Région board
